I’m a former immigration lawyer and the CEO of LaborLess, an immigration compliance software company. As I’ve watched technology, especially AI, continue to evolve in the legal industry, lawyers weren’t using it at the rate I expected. When I asked why, the reason was overwhelmingly that they didn’t know how these technologies would use their clients’ data.

In many cases, the answer was in the terms and conditions, privacy policy, data use policy or other documents on the company’s website, but these documents were too long, too dense, and too unnatural to work through in real life.

Even for lawyers.

That’s how Rigmarole was born.

I wanted to create a simple tool that leverages AI to help people interact with website policies in a more natural way, ask questions, and better understand how the digital spaces they visit and products they use collect, store, share, or use their data.

Lawyers were the original spark, but the more I thought about it, the more obvious it became that this is a problem for anyone who uses the internet.

Rigmarole helps solve that problem by making the Internet clearer and more accessible for all.
